- Escape the Lab - February 7, 2025, 6-8 PM (Tentative)
- Escape the Lab is a fun social event designed to foster collaboration and boost morale amongst
students going through winter quarter. Under a hypothetical scenario that they are escaping from a
major catastrophe, participants will form groups and race to solve fun scientific problems and
riddles. This event will allow UCLA students to collaborate, network, and destress. Link to register
will be shared through BruinKSEA's Instagram page.
Sign-up form will be provided on our Instagram page.
- BruinKSEA Mock Interview - February 28, 2025, 6-8 PM (Tentative)
- The BruinKSEA Mock Interview is intended to provide students with an opportunity to practice
professional interviews, foster interviewing skills, and connect with mentors from various career
fields. The students will be assigned to groups based on their career interests: industry, graduate
school, and pre-health. The students will then undergo interviews with mentors from their respective
career fields. The mentors will provide tailored feedback on students' responses or their resume
items, and they will also advise on the students' career plans. It is anticipated that the attendees
will receive invaluable guidance in approaching interviews and planning their careers while
expanding their professional network. Link to register will be shared through BruinKSEA's Instagram
page.
Sign-up form will be provided on our Instagram page.
- Additional Opportunities:
We will be holding Officer Elections and are currently looking for Event Directors and Finance Directors.
Description:
KSEA, short for Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association, was established in 1971 as a non-profit professional organization. It has now grown to over 4500 registered active undergraduate, graduate, professional, and industry members with 70 local chapters and 14 technical groups across the United States. BruinKSEA, short for KSEA at UCLA, was established in 2009 as part of the Southern-California YG (Young Generation) chapter. It has now grown to over 200 registered members and alumni. We welcome undergraduates, graduates, and researchers of UCLA within the scientific and engineering fields. KSEA provides valuable opportunities to network with other KSEA YG Chapters within Southern California (Harvey Mudd College, USC, CalTech, UCSD, UCI, and CSULB); develop leadership through activities and volunteering as a representative of BruinKSEA; participate in national and regional conferences hosted by the larger KSEA community; and lifetime experiences and memorable relationships within UCLA.
