- Winter GM - January 6th, 2025, 6:30-7 PM @ Mong Auditorium
- Weekly Ethiopia Project Meeting - Mondays 6-7 PM @ Engineering IV 37-124 The Ethiopia Sanitation project has three goals: the design and construction of 8 latrines, the installation of a new water tank to maintain latrine cleanliness and increase water access, and the creation of a digital library to serve students in all of Dire Dawa's most common languages. As we finalize our designs and plan for implementation, we are excited to share more information about out project and our engineers.
- Weekly Colombia Project Meeting - Tuesdays 6-7 PM @ Engineering IV 38-138 The Colombia Greenhouse Project main goal is to work toward developing advanced greenhouses and biofactories to address food insecurity in rural Colombia. Our initiative empowers local communities by providing sustainable agricultural solutions that not only combat hunger but also offer long-term economic opportunities. Through hands-on training and support, we teach farmers how to leverage innovative agricultural practices to generate steady, reliable sources of income. By combining cutting-edge technology with community-driven efforts, we aim to create a more resilient and self-sufficient future for Colombia's rural regions.
- Weekly Inland Empire Project Meeting - Wednesdays 6-7 PM @ Engineering V 5101 The Inland Empire Project is dedicated to serving underrepresented communities in Ontario, California, by promoting an equitable food system that provides access to healthy, organic produce. Our initiative focuses on educating individuals about food growth, sustainability, and nutrition while fostering inclusivity through the creation of ADA-compliant, wheelchair-accessible garden beds. Additionally, we are constructing an efficient hydroponic system to maximize land use for sustainable agriculture. Located just one hour from campus, this project offers unique opportunities for hands-on learning, allowing participants to gain practical experience in sustainable farming, community empowerment, and environmental stewardship, all while contributing to a meaningful cause.
- Weekly Uganda Empire Project Meeting - Wednesdays 6-7 PM @ Engineering IV 47-124 The three main goals of the Uganda Water Project is to increase water supply, improve water quality, and improve ease of access to water for the Bukonko community. Currently, the Bukonko community does not have access to clean water. People are suffering due to waterborne illnesses, and children are forced to skip school in order to travel and bring back clean water.
- Weekly Nepal Empire Project Meeting - Thursdays 6-7 PM @ Engineering IV 47-124 The Nepal Farmhouse Project will be building an industrial-sized chicken farm (about 1000 square feet) to provide income and financial sustainability for the Freedom School. The Freedom school is a school in rural Nepal that prevents human trafficking by providing education to girls and children at high-risk. The chicken farm will provide food for students, food security/sovereignty for the school and community, and income for local survivors and women operating the school.
- Additional Opportunities: We are looking for a Research Project Lead, Director of Internal Affairs, Director of External Affairs, and Finance Chair. We will be hosting elections for Project leads and Committee chairs.
