We consist of 3 vehicle teams: Formula, Baja, Supermileage, which each design build and race a custom vehicle each year. We give our members a chance to get hands on engineering experience, make friends and connections, provide career opportunities, and have a really good time. Bruin Racing Baja is a UCLA engineering club dedicated to designing, building, and competing with a single-seat off-road vehicle in the Baja SAE collegiate competitions. Members gain hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing techniques, including machining, welding, CAD, CNC programming, and electronics, as well as vehicle design and testing. The club operates as a professional engineering team, offering opportunities to collaborate on complex projects, tackle real-world engineering challenges, and apply theoretical knowledge from coursework. Students specialize in subsystems such as chassis, powertrain, suspension, and electronics, gaining practical skills and technical expertise that are highly valued in the engineering industry.
