Our Story
Bruin Engineers Week (E-Week) is an annual week-long series of events hosted by ESUC during Week 2 of Spring Quarter in celebration of all things engineering.

Our Plan
Numerous events involving volunteering, networking, problem-solving, dancing, expressing ideas, and having fun will be available for students to attend.

Our Vision
Events held during Bruin E-Week are designed to bring students together through innovation, outreach, and fun as well as promote individual development.
Face the Faculty
Face off in a game of brawn and brains against your favorite UCLA Engineering faculty and staff in a team dodgeball and trivia game.
- Date: Thursday, April 17, 2024
- Time: Dodgeball from 11 am - 1 pm, Trivia from 4 pm - 5pm
- Location: Dodgeball @ IM Fields, Trivia @ ESUC Lounge
Our goal is to allow students to connect with Engineering Faculty, through a friendly competition. Dodgeball will get both students and staff up off their feet and ready to work with their colleagues. Participants will also learn more about the history of UCLA, while corroborating with their teammates.

Kids Day
Are you interested in helping young kids develop an interest in engineering? Volunteer at our outreach event where elementary school students in the area are invited to participate in hands-on activities led by UCLA engineering orgs! Sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/kids-day-2023
- Date: Wednesday, April 16, 2025
- Time: 10 AM to 12 PM
- Location: Engineering IV
Bruin Engineers Week is a decades-old tradition at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) hosted by the Engineering Society of UCLA. During this week-long festivities, the UCLA engineering community gathers to celebrate the achievements of the engineering clubs and works together to give back to the greater community. One of the primary events is Kids Day, during which hundreds of elementary school students are invited to UCLA for a day of hands-on learning outside of a classroom setting. This is a rewarding experience for older students to volunteer their time to the community and help foster a love for learning and engineering in younger students.

Industry Night
Meet with alumni and industry professionals in a casual setting to get a jump start on your career!
- Date: Tuesday, April 15, 2025
- Time: 6 PM - 8 PM
- Location: Engineering 6 (Cohen or Mong)
This smaller networking event is embedded in Bruin E-week and is designed to be a casual, informative evening for students to start or continue forming professional relationships with company representatives/alumni, as well as get advice. The goal of Networking Night is to help undergraduate students make connections with people in the industry. Undergraduate students are able to get insight into what it is like to work in the industry and how they can get internships.

Built-A-Thon
Show off your creativity and engineering ability in a fun challenge! Work with fellow engineers to build solutions in real time, and possibly earn prizes.
- Date: Monday, April 4th, 2025
- Time: 5 PM to 8 PM
- Location: Boelter 5800
In the spirit of Bruin E-Week, students will get the chance to show off their engineering skills through a Build-A-Thon! Students will form teams of engineers and practice building solutions to a given problem, testing their solution against competitors. Together, teams will receive prizes of up to $50!
