The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a professional, social, and projects-based organization that provides networking opportunities and hands-on learning experiences for our members. Our organization offers twelve technical projects, ten of which are competitive and two of which are community service-oriented, a plethora of professional development, social, and community service events, a strong mentorship program, and endless fun learning opportunities!
........
We welcome students of all majors and grade levels. No prior experience is needed to join our organization. We try to help our beginner level students including freshmen and transfers as much as possible by teaching them practical knowledge through projects and technical workshops, preparing them for networking with industry representatives through professional events, and pairing them with an upperclassman mentor to give them the opportunity to learn more about civil engineering through our mentorship program.........
Some of our major events include our career fairs, company info sessions, technical workshops, socials, and mentorship events. In addition to our events, we offer twelve engineering projects: Concrete Canoe, Construction Management, Engineering X, Environmental Design, GeoWall, Navajo Project, Seismic Design, Seismic Outreach, Steel Bridge, Surveying, Timber Design Build, and Transportation.........
If you are interested in joining ASCE, please come to our first general meeting on Wednesday, October 7th, at 6 PM via Zoom (Meeting ID: 991 6591 4144, Passcode: 582364).
