ESA - Bruin Engineers Week

Our Story

Bruin Engineers Week (E-Week) is an annual week-long series of events hosted by ESA during Week 3 of Spring Quarter in celebration of all things engineering.

Our Plan

Numerous events involving volunteering, networking, problem-solving, exercising, expressing ideas, and having fun will be available for students to attend.

Our Vision

Events held during Bruin E-Week are designed to bring students together through innovation, outreach, and fun as well as promote individual development.

Face the Faculty

At Face the Faculty, teams composed of students, staff and faculty face off in friendly games of dodgeball. Enjoy light refreshments and lots of fun!

Alumni Networking Night

ESA's Alumni Night during Bruin Engineers Week, featuring UCLA engineering alumni and representatives from various student organizations coming together to share experiences and connect with current students.

Get ready for Alumni Night during Bruin Engineers Week, as ESA brings together alumni from engineering orgs for an evening full of stories, networking, and strong Bruin spirit.

Makers Day

Maker Day is a two-hour build-a-thon where students think outside the box to design and build creative solutions to a surprise prompt. It's a fun, hands-on challenge that encourages meeting new people, collaborating, and trying something new.

Come to Makersday, where you will design and build a solution for a given prompt in teams of three! Creations will be judged by a panel, and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Experience Engineering

Experience Engineering has UCLA Engineering student organizations create and present interactive workshops for local middle schoolers to learn about and become inspired by engineering.

Bruin Engineers Week is a decades-old tradition at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) hosted by the Engineering Student Association of UCLA. During this week-long festivities, the UCLA engineering community gathers to celebrate the achievements of the engineering clubs and works together to give back to the greater community. One of the primary events is Experience Engineering, during which hundreds of elementary school students are invited to UCLA for a day of hands-on learning outside of a classroom setting. This is a rewarding experience for older students to volunteer their time to the community and help foster a love for learning and engineering in younger students.

Art Gallery

Art Gallery is an annual digital showcase of the creative works of engineering students. [A.I. usage is strictly prohibited]

We are looking for creative minds to submit their artworks for the Engineers Week Art Gallery! The artworks will be displayed on our website, and social media platforms. All art mediums are welcome and encouraged.

Current Mediums Accepted: Digital Art, Photography, Graphic Design, Traditional Art, Music, Video, Sculpture, Mixed Media. Please email esa.ucla.webmaster@gmail.com for any inquiries about mediums.

Engineering Exhibition

UCLA Engineering takes over Bruin Plaza! Engineering organizations, project teams, and research labs showcase their engineering work in Bruin Plaza to engage with the entire UCLA community and show off the engineers.

We are looking for engineering organizations, project teams, and research labs to participate in the Engineering Exhibition at Bruin Plaza. To attract engagement, tables should include interactive activities and/or have free items to give away.

Come join us and be part of the excitement at the Engineering Exhibition by visiting tables and supporting the different engineering organizations, project teams, and research labs.
